This U.S. State Privacy Notice supplements the Headii Privacy Policy for residents of a U.S. state whose comprehensive privacy law applies to Headii's handling of their personal information. It also serves as a California notice at collection to the extent California law applies. It does not replace the separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for consumer health data covered by Washington or Nevada law.
Headii may voluntarily use the request process described below for other U.S. users. Doing so does not concede that a particular statute, threshold or statutory right applies.
This notice distinguishes the App and related Services covered by the Privacy Policy from standalone website activities covered by a Website Privacy Policy or activity-specific notice. The collection table and current-practice statements below describe the former, not a future website marketing program. A website notice may also refer to the rights and request procedures here, but that reference does not replace disclosures of the website's actual collection, recipients, advertising practices and retention. Separating these notices does not limit rights or obligations that applicable law imposes on Headii across its activities.
1. California Notice at Collection and General U.S. Collection Summary
The following table summarizes the categories Headii may collect when you use an available Service or deliberately invoke an action. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Headii, this section is Headii's California Notice at Collection. Conditional or unavailable features do not become active because they appear here. “Sold” and “shared” in this table use the meanings given by applicable state privacy law and are not limited to transfers for money.

The Privacy Policy gives additional detail about sources, purposes, provider categories, optional AI Improvement Contributions, retention and deletion. Headii uses and discloses sensitive personal information only for the requested Service, authentication, security, legal compliance or another purpose that does not create a right to limit under applicable law. Headii does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics except when an available feature clearly provides the requested inference and the processing is permitted by law. If Headii proposes a use or disclosure that creates a right to limit, it will provide the required mechanism before the change begins. Where state law requires consent before sensitive-data processing, the affected optional route remains unavailable until the required notice and consent are in place.
2. Disclosure and Current Sale, Advertising and Profiling Practices
Headii may disclose the minimum necessary categories above to cloud, AI, speech, language, visual-processing, authentication, communications, marketplace, security, support and professional-service providers for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. These recipients act under the role and restrictions applicable to the route. You may view the current Service Provider List or request the specific third-party information that applicable law requires.
Headii may also disclose information when you direct a disclosure to an independent destination; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety and the Services; or in a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy or asset transaction subject to applicable safeguards.
For the Headii-controlled activities described in the current Privacy Policy, Headii does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use personal information for targeted advertising, or profile a person to make a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects. Headii also does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of a person under 18. If Headii proposes an activity treated as sale, sharing, targeted advertising or such profiling under an applicable law, Headii will update the relevant notice and provide the required opt-out before the activity begins.
In the 12 months ending September 9, 2026, Headii did not use advertising-tracking or remarketing tools on its website, reservation pages or App tests, or upload customer email addresses or phone numbers to advertising platforms for audience matching. This statement describes those historical activities; it does not describe a future website marketing program.
3. Retention
Headii keeps each category only for the fixed period or objective criterion shown in Section 1 above and in the Privacy Policy's retention section. The applicable period depends on the purpose and copy. For example, task content, transaction records, support submissions, security records and local or independently controlled copies have different start and deletion events. A residual legal, rights, security or transaction record is limited to what the continuing purpose requires. Any separate operational summary is informational only and cannot silently lengthen a fixed period in the Privacy Policy or introduce a new purpose or exception.
4. Your State Privacy Rights
Subject to the law that applies, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether Headii processes personal information about you and access it;
- obtain a portable copy;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- obtain additional information about categories, purposes and recipients, including a specific third-party list where required;
- opt out of a sale, targeted advertising or qualifying profiling;
- limit or opt out of certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- withdraw consent for future processing based on that consent;
- appeal a refusal to act on a request; and
- receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
These rights are subject to definitions, exceptions and verification rules in the law that applies. A request does not require Headii to disclose another person's information, retain information solely to answer a future request or recreate information that was lawfully deleted.
5. Requests, Authorized Agents and Appeals
Submit a request through an available in-App privacy control or privacy@headii.com. Once the public privacy-request page is working and available, you or an authorized agent may also use that page. A Service or market that legally requires an additional request route is not made available unless and until that route works. Headii uses verification proportionate to the request and risk. Where law permits an authorized agent, the agent may use the same available routes. Headii may request proof of the agent's authority and, where permitted, direct confirmation from the consumer.
Headii responds within the period required by the law that applies and explains any permitted extension or denial. If you may appeal, reply to the decision or select the appeal option identified in it within the stated period. Headii will provide a written appeal result and any regulator complaint route required by law.
6. Opt-Out Preference Signals
Where applicable law requires it, Headii treats a legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism, including Global Privacy Control when applicable, as a request to opt the associated browser or device out of covered sale or targeted-advertising activity. If Headii is not conducting such an activity, the signal may produce no visible change. A preference signal does not delete an account, withdraw an unrelated feature choice or identify you across devices unless the law and available information require that result.
A browser “Do Not Track” signal is different from a legally recognized opt-out preference signal. Headii does not currently respond to DNT as a separate privacy request because the current Services do not use DNT to control a sale, sharing or cross-context behavioral-advertising activity. Third-party infrastructure, security, authentication, marketplace and communications services may collect limited technical information for their assigned role. Some independent platform or service providers may also collect limited technical information over time across their own or unrelated services under their own notices. Headii does not authorize them to collect or use information through the Headii Services for cross-context behavioral advertising on Headii's behalf.
7. Financial Incentives
Headii does not currently offer a price or service difference in exchange for personal information under this notice. A purchased service, free allowance or promotion is governed by its disclosed product terms and is not treated as a privacy financial incentive unless Headii separately explains that relationship and obtains any required opt-in.
8. Changes and Contact
Headii identifies the effective date and version of this notice. Before a material change applies, Headii will provide any additional notice, choice or consent required by law. Updating this page alone does not authorize a new purpose, materially broader data use, sale, targeted advertising, qualifying profiling or sensitive-data processing.
